LOWFRIX™ Revolution
Furmfix are pleased to introduce the new Lowfrix™ System rowing wheel. Our new LOWFRIX™ system wheel is based on high performance engineering polymer to turn the wheel, unlike ball bearings that you may be familiar with. You will immediately notice the difference from your old wheels.
Type Valve Caps
We are also pleased to introduce the new tyre caps.
It is generally considered that the tyre valve cap is intended to keep dirt and water out of the valve and protect the valve core which is the air seal. Although this is an important function of the cap, tyre manufacturers will tell us that the cap is acually the primary air seal for the valve. Valve cores can leak and it is therefore essential to have a proper cap with a seal in place at all times.
30% tyre under inflation will ...
Cost around £300.00 PER YEAR in extra fuel consumption,
reduced tyre life, and more importantly ... Increasing your chance of having a serious if not fatal accident!
Tyre suppliers will advise that pressures should be checked weekly or more often depending on use.
If pressure has been lost, the consequences are:
• Possibility of prosecution
• Fuel consumption will increase by as much as 10%
• Reduction in tyre life by over 50%
• Breaking performance will be reduced by 20%
• Putting you and your passengers at unnecessary RISK
Safety: the number one issue! If tyre pressures are important for a car, they are critical for a motorbike and we all know that conventional tyre caps allow seepage. Two to three psi in a week is not at all unusual, dependant on the amount of riding involved.
